Legal & Regulatory Affairs

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for complaint management, investigation, resolution and reporting related to the complaints including but not limited to quarterly report to the Securities Commission;
  • Responsible for preparation of any meeting pursuant to the complaints
  • Responsible for preparation of Disciplinary Proceedings before the Disciplinary Committee including but not limited to attending the proceedings, preparation of bundles and notices, records of proceedings and reports;
  • Assist in carrying out the necessary enforcement actions as decided by the relevant Committee;
  • Assist Head of Department in legal, regulatory and compliance matters and provide legal opinion;
  • Keep abreast with latest development on securities laws and regulations related to FIMM, the unit trust and private retirement scheme industries;
  • Draft and/or vet legal documents, agreements, rules, policy papers, consultation papers and regulatory proposals;
  • Prepare working papers to the Board and Committees, on various initiatives of FIMM;
  • Assist in the execution of matters related to the functions of the department; and Prepare meeting papers to the Board and Committees, on initiatives proposed by the Department.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law and preferable called to the Malaysian Bar
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in legal practice or corporate environment with experience in drafting complex legal agreements or policy, rules and regulations

Person Specifications

  • Possess good analytical and critical thinking with good report writing skills
  • Knowledge of the regulations and guidelines governing capital markets, unit trust funds and fund management is an added advantage
  • A team player

Special Skills/Traits

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Good time management skills to ensure multiple tasks are completed simultaneously within compressed timeframes

Internal Audit & Risk Management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Risk Management Policy and Procedures

  • Assist in the collection and updating the information and data.
  • Ensure risk management policies, procedures and processes are updated.

Risk Awareness and Training

  • Secretariat for Risk Awareness and Train-the-Trainer Session.
  • Coordinate participants/Risk Representatives for the Risk Awareness and Train-the-Trainer Sessions.
  • Assist in the preparatory work such as venue, session material etc. of Risk Awareness and Train-the-Trainer Sessions and maintain the session’s schedule.
  • Assist in training the Risk Representatives of all Divisions and Departments.

Risk Management Process

  • Ensuring Risk Representative Structure and Reporting Line are accordance with FIMM’s organisational structure.
  • Collaborate in collection, collation and organization of Preparatory work such as Business Process Analysis, Risk Parameter etc
  • Update the risk register and risk action plan.
  • Compilation of risk registers and risk action plan from Risk Representatives of all Divisions and Departments.
  • Assisting in the collation of documents relating to the full ERM process.

Risk Management Report

  • Assist the Head and Assistant Manager in preparation of risk reports.

Risk Communication

  • On-going Communicate and liaise with Risk Representatives.
  • Act as a secretariat for Risk Management meeting in relation with Risk Report.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or related disciplines
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in internal audit environment
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed
