FIMMAC 2022 Games Rules

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE GAMES AT VIRTUAL FIMMAC & IES 2022

GAME 1: UTS/PRS Champions League

Eligibility

  1. Open for participation to all who registered for Virtual FIMMAC & IES 2022.
  2. Only participants who have qualified via the Qualifying Round may participate in the UTS/PRS Champions League. For avoidance of doubt, participants who have qualified through to the UTS/PRS Champions League will be notified via email. FIMM reserves the right to replace participants who have qualified for the UTS/PRS Champions League.
  3. Participants who have provided incorrect information regarding their details may be disqualified.

Qualifying Round

  1. There will be three (3) questions posed during the qualifying round. Participants who answered all three (3) questions correctly may qualify to participate in the UTS/PRS Champions League. For avoidance of doubt, answering all three (3) questions correctly or being a winner during the Qualifying Round does not guarantee that a participant will be participating in the UTS/PRS Champions League. Answering all three (3) questions correctly merely qualifies a participant to be eligible to be chosen to participate in the UTS/PRS Champions League. The final list of participants for the UTS/PRS Champions League will be determined by FIMM, based on and guided by the aforementioned criteria and other factors, such as the speed of answering all three (3) questions correctly, to ensure a smooth and efficient running of operations in order to conduct the Main Round.
  2. Three (3) winners will be selected on a daily basis. Winners will be announced on FIMM’s social media accounts on the following day.
  3. Participants who did not win the daily prize may try again the next day. Participants who won the daily prize may no longer be eligible to win the daily prize.

Main Round

  1. Participants who have qualified through the applicable Qualifying Rounds and have received a formal notification by FIMM (Invitation) shall be allowed to participate in the Main Round.
  2. The Main Round is divided into four (4) leagues, which shall at all times be treated as separate:
  • Consultants
  • Public
  • University Students
  • Secondary School Students
  1. Participants will be allocated into their respective leagues based on their declaration on whether they are Consultants, University Students, Secondary School Students, or Public, when submitting their details in the Qualifying Round quiz form. Each participant can only participate in one (1) league, even though he/she had declared himself/herself for multiple leagues by submitting multiple entries during the Qualifying Round and the said allocation shall be determined by FIMM and shall be final. Participants shall not be allowed to switch to a different league at any time.
  2. Participants shall be subject to the eligibility criteria applicable to their respective league and as set out in these rules.
  3. Participants of each league will compete against each other within the same league and not against participants of other leagues.
  4. The Main Round will be played on www.kahoot.it. To access the game for the Main Round, participants will have to enter the game PIN for the day. The game PIN will be emailed to each participant for the day before the start of the day’s game.
  5. Participants who have been notified of their qualification but fail to show up during any of the designated league dates or fail to show up and sign-in to the game platform in time for the start of the game session shall automatically receive zero (0) points on the day of their absence. For avoidance of doubt, all points accumulated prior to their date of absence shall not be deducted and the participant who fails to attend any of the designated league dates may still participate in the Main Round.
  6. Although there will be winners displayed at the end of each day’s game session, the standings may not necessarily be the final standings as FIMM will conduct due diligence checks in order to, among other reasons, ensure that the winners are indeed eligible and have truly qualified for the UTS/PRS Champions League Main Round and to allocate the qualified participants into their respective league’s standings. FIMM will announce the confirmed winners via FIMM’s social media platforms.
  7. The top three (3) highest scoring participants in each league will be declared the 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winners of their respective league and shall be entitled to be awarded with prizes. In the event of a tie between any number of participants, FIMM reserves the right to determine the award winners and their respective placements in the Main Round as it deems fit.
  8. All awards shall be deemed as final unless otherwise decided by FIMM, and FIMM shall not entertain any appeals by the participants.

Delivery of Prizes

  1. Prizes for both the Qualifying Round and the Main Round will be distributed to the winners after the end of Virtual FIMMAC & IES 2022.

  2. Those who have qualified for the UTS/PRS Champions League are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate and will be automatically disqualified from the Pop Quiz Game if it is discovered that they are also participants in the Main Round of the UTS/PRS Champions League. However, for avoidance of doubt, those who have participated in the UTS/PRS Champions League Qualifying Rounds and failed to qualify for the Main Round, shall still be eligible to compete in the Pop Quiz.

In the event of any tie, FIMM reserves the right to determine the award winners as it deems fit.
